Yoga and Pilates with water based adventure exploring the unspoilt nature and tranquility of Lough Derg by canoe or kayak. Full tuition is provided and no previous experience is required. An escape with adventure to leave you feeling rejuvenated, uplifted and restored.

Marian is your host for the duration of your stay. Think of Coolbawn as your home from home in the countryside with everything in readiness for your arrival. Charming in every way, Marian will greet you on arrival, mingle with you through ‘Happy Hour Drinks’ and guide you through every stage of the retreat.

After 25 years in the hospitality industry Marian embarked on a 3 month residential  course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2010. With the skills and knowledge she gained from this course combined with cookery courses in Bali, Vietnam and Thailand, Marion set up Manna Bia Foods, a wholefoods plant based food business in Tipperary. From Farmers Markets, Event Catering, Pop Ups and Cookery Demos Marion shares her passion for nutritious, healthy foods that are simple, fresh and easy to prepare.

Using a combination of massage techniques from around the world with the blend of exotic cultures, colours and fragrances adds to the sensuality of the experience. Aisling is our Wellness Director and under her guidance our team of therapists will bring you to another level of relaxation and well being. Dedicated to delivering the ultimate wellness experience to every guest on every level Aisling looks forward to assisting you on your journey to improve relaxation and wellbeing.

Aisling has been working within the beauty/wellness industry for the past sixteen years and has a passion for natural products, healthy living and plant based food.

Educated in a broad range of treatments including massage, face and body therapies, beauty treatments and make-up artistry.

Iyengar yoga | ellen baggs

After many years  studying  different disciplines of yoga Ellen qualified as an Iyengar Yoga Instructor in 2014 having studied for three years with Aisling Guirke, Ireland’s most senior Iyengar Yoga Instructor, and has been teaching full time since. The focus  on the alignment, proper sequencing, safety and accessibility for all levels and abilities that characterise the Iyengar method were fundamental in her decision to become a teacher. Based on the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar, this 2500 year old classical yoga begins with the physical awareness of the body, builds strength and stamina while focusing on the importance of posture and flexibility at any age

Becky and her highly trained team have been offering quality Kayak and Canoe tours on Lough Derg since 2013. Whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced water sports fan their expert tuition will have you paddling in no time. Under their expert guidance you will enjoy exploring the unspoilt nature and tranquillity of Lough Derg out into the lake and along its mysterious and beautiful shoreline. This beautiful body of water is home to a vast array of wildlife: think leaping trout, white tailed eagles, splashing pike, elegant swans and lightning fast wildcats. With full safety instructions and all equipment provided each unique session promises to leave you feeling rejuvenated and uplifted.
