Surrounded by nature with spectacular backdrops, created by the seasonal changes in colour and tone, it is the perfect canvas to capture romantic memories along the private walkways of the old stone harbour and among the trees.
Private access to the lake conjures up a myriad of possibilities to be incorporated into your wedding story with us at Coolbawn Quay. Imagine.....waterside vows with drinks on the deck, followed by dinner and dancing in the most magical Georgian style Pavilion with twilight views over the lake..... Simply perfect.
There is a Location Fee for the exclusive use of the shoreline facilities on the occasion of your wedding. The Location Fee varies depending on your chosen date and banquet option.
the village
Part of the magic of hosting your wedding at Coolbawn Quay is having the entire village filled with family and friends staying in beautiful rooms, suites and lodges scattered along meandering streets and leafy lanes. CBQ becomes your very own private and exclusive village on your Special Day making the occasion intimately personal and unique.
All weddings have an accommodation requirement with the number of rooms dependent on the time of year and venue choice. We offer very attractive accommodation rates as part of our Wedding Packages.
Many Wedding Parties stay with us for two nights, enjoying a barbecue at the Clubhouse as a pre or post wedding event. There is something for everyone to enjoy: from blissful therapies; local forest walks; to a spot of fishing. We offer advice in arranging activities such as a cruise, water adventure sports or a round of golf.

lakeshore pavilion
Receptions for up to 220 guests are hosted throughout the year in The Lakeshore Pavilion. Simply luxurious with dramatic entrance hall, intimate bar, restrooms, sumptuous drawing room, and the most exquisite banquet hall.
With a fairy tale feel created by softly draped ivory and silver linings, twinkling lights, candles glowing and a profusion of flowers, it is truely magical.
A sheltered terrace, bordered by lavender beds, offers relaxed seating with glorious views out over the private marina to the lake beyond, perfect for relaxed mingling late into the night.

drawing rooms
Smaller more intimate wedding receptions are hosted in a collection of Drawing Rooms throughout the Village and are available to book on selected dates throughout the year.
The Drawing Room within the Pavilion is intimately beautiful, with dramatic views overlooking the Marina and offers a charming setting for an intimate wedding or party celebration. With Georgian windows, open fire effect and dimmed pendant chandelier the mood is calm casting shadows on the shimmering silver ceiling linings. Receptions in the Drawing Room are available throughout the year but restricted to midweek during the summer months.
The Reading Room is located within The Lodge and is our latest addition for small intimate occasions and receptions. Tucked away in a discreet lakeshore location overlooking a copse of trees, it has a remote and magical feel. With a contemporary style and a dash of the classic The Reading Room enjoys a spectacular private terrace for your drinks reception and dining ‘al fresco’.
The Red Room is located within the Clubhouse. With a relaxed atmosphere combined with the signature stylish comforts of Coolbawn Quay, it is the perfect choice for an intimate occasion for up to 25 guests.
